We have been encoding a scope format short film by Director Madeleine Shenai called THAT? for a new festival screening in February. The film has 5.1 surround sound and was delivered in a Scope format with black bars top and bottom. When projected in a cinema the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) needs to be encoded to match the films aspect ratio, otherwise you can end up with more letter boxing than intended.

The film is about a teenage girl and her father and how they learn to overcome their anxieties after the most embarrassing moment of her young life with a boy from school. Originally winner of Best first-time Short film, BIFF Sweden. It's a lovely cameo of what it is like being a teenager in England, with a single parent, making assumptions of what words and phrases mean.
