Grading and VFX for Mike Stocks' new Music video - Black Heart

Mike Stocks (AKA Mr Pickle) has been working with his monkeys again on a follow-up to his successful video - Dreamin'

This time Mike has used his monkey puppets to re-enact the famous 'Its Alive' scene from Frankenstein (where Dr Frankenstein animates his creation using lightning) and merging it with his new song 'Black heart'

Mike filmed and edited the video himself using iMovie. However he needed some help with the special effects and colour grading. He exported the edited timeline as an XML file which we then imported and re-built in Final Cut. We used our Gen Arts Sapphire plug-ins for lighting with some real rain overlays and basic colour grading and vignetting to match Mikes original video idea.
