Script editing for The Locksmith feature

Mark has been working with local writer Julian Poulter again to help bring his new feature script The Locksmith to life and to format it to satisfy festival submissions. Julian had previously written a script for a Viking themed feature film called 'A Call to Arms', set at the beginning of the Middle Ages and based on real historical characters. Mark had been successful in re-working the original manuscript into the correct formatting for script submission, and Julian has been able to enter and win many script writing competitions in 2023 and 2024.

The Locksmith is a love story set in Dickensian London, and Julian plans to release an extended version as a book and self distribute via his shop in Devon. The Locksmith is the tale of a young lad who heads to London after a tragedy at home. After making a few enemies and finding then losing love, is helped by a local merchant and discovers a new skill and trade. Love is rekindled but tragedy strikes in the form of the infamous 'Jack the Ripper' who features in the London locations set in the script.
