Scouting For Girls live at Oxfam Pulse Rated

Now available to video online are two performances by Scouting For Girls from the Pulse Rated Oxfam gig that we filmed in December 2005.

The live concert featured Donderdag, The Naked Apes, Scouting for Girls, Jesse James, Transcargo and Imperial Leisure, who all rocked the Empire Shepherds Bush on the Sunday. A fantastic line-up of unsigned acts organised by Pulse Rated and proceeds going to Oxfam, the gig was a huge success. We were there filming the bands for a new DVD that was releases in 2006.

"..we were asked to film the gig by Hadyn Woods of the Sound Foundation - the Naked Apes manager..following their Sunday night headlining act at the Goldcoast Oceanfest in Croyde" said Mark Brindle of Maniac films.

"..it was a bit last minute but we managed to pull a good crew together to film the event..some great performances from all the bands...some different styles..a fantastic live venue."

We have now finally finished the DVD - three tracks from each band are featured with the live Radio mix from Pulse Rated and re-balanced by Lee Thommen.

We ended up asking some fresh editing talent to help out with the editing process - to try to get a mix of different styles into the DVD. Special thanks to Sally Rogers for coordinating and also editing up quite a few tracks herself. Thanks to Andy Lunn, Rory Gordon, Tant Lay, Kieran Lefort, Bayu Prasetyo, Jamie Ashford, Sally Rogers, Andy Brown and Roy Cooper for all the editing and David Martell and Peter Davis from Pulse rated.

Thanks To Matt Biggs from Artaura Productions, Richard Fisher from Media14 for helping out with the filming, plus some great steadicam work by Matthew Burton and extra help from Chris Barrett. We put the abc minicrane through its paces from the balcony and got some great shots for the DVD.

Check out the great Live sound of these six awesome bands on one DVD - follow links to the bands websites for mp3 samples, photos, merchandise, gig lists and biogs..
