We have been creating new captions for the amazing All You Need Is Love documentary series from award-winning director Tony Palmer. These 17x 1-hour episodes on the history of music are being re-released on streaming platforms and needed modern captions. This landmark documentary series first aired in the 1970s and covers the history of modern popular music, from its earliest origins through to the mid-'70s and includes ragtime, Jazz, Rock and Blues.
Palmer interviewed more than 300 subjects, and he enlisted the help of experts and personalities in the music field, including Stephen Sondheim, Leonard Feather and Nik Cohn, to provide the background for each episode.
Mark says "There are a lot of music lyrics as well as dialogue captioned in each episode of the documentary, so we were busy for many days researching some of the older music, especially the music hall and folk music episodes where we had to find online references for some of the harder to hear the lyrics."
The captions files were delivered in a format that can be used as subtitles on DVD or Blu-ray and also used on streaming platforms like YouTube, Nexflix, Vimeo and Amazon.
If you need captioning for your film whether for International film festivals, for online distribution or just to improve your ranking on Google search then please get in touch with us for a quote. We like to see the completed content to quote for captions, as the amount of dialogue and quality of spoken word varies a lot from film to film.
