The Rycote Windjammer consists of a Pistol grip shockmount and two Rycote Softie pods. The shockmount can hold microphones 19mm (3/4") to 25mm (1") in shaft diameter. The Rycote pods connect to the shockmount chassis via a twist-lock system. They are 100mm (4") diameter and a combined length  of 18".

The acoustic fur covering (30mm staple) can give > 30dB windnoise suppression (100-500Hz).

The kit also comes with a short XLR cable which runs through the Shockmount housing to an external cable.
The pistol grip has a built in XLR grip which can hold cable connectors securely to minimise cable strain.

The handle has a brass 3/8" female thread attachment for use on boom poles or mic stands
