ND (Neutral Density) kit for hire:
This is our 3 piece ND shooting kit, containing ND 0.3, 0.6 & 0.9 100mm (4 x 4inch) Neutral Density (ND) filters.
These Formatt HD ND glass 4x4 filters are designed to cut the amount of light entering a lens to give you control over depth of field and overall lighting contrast.
- The ND 0.3 filter produces the equivalent of 1 stop of light reduction
- The ND 0.6 filter produces the equivalent of 2 stops of light reduction
- The ND 0.9 filter produces the equivalent of 3 stops of light reduction
- The filters can be combined (stacked) with each other and other ND filters to increase the effect
Neutral density glass filters (also known as ND filters) produce a neutral tone and are used to reduce light, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting the colour or contrast of your shot. Many modern video cameras have ND filters built in but DSLRs typically do not have ND and if you want to remain on a fixed shutter speed for video you need to control he amount of light entering the camera at a fixed aperture setting. ND filters are especially useful in bright light conditions to avoid overexposure.
Combine with our Vocas MB-250 mattebox for the ultimate light control solution
Each Formatt HD ND glass 4x4 filter is supplied in it's own padded pouch.
