The DJI Focus Motor Pro is an upgrade to the focus motor that ships with the DJI Ronin gimbal and offers greater torque and connectivity to remote accessories, allowing you to set up multiple units into a FIZ (Focus/Zoom/Iris) combo on your rig. You can hire the focus motor Pro kit with our RS2 Pro gimbal, or on its own to use with the DJI Focus Grip or other accessories on a non-gimbal rig. The motor can be powered via usb-c from the gimbal directly - you can use the gimbal focus control to set and adjust the motor in the same way as the original focus motor.
This kit comes with it's own baseplate and a 15mm rod because the original DJI focus motor is not compatible with the 15mm rods.
The motor speed has been increased by 30% for more responsive control over focus, zoom, or aperture. The latency is as low as 10 milliseconds, ensuring swift control response when paired with the DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit. The motor features a built-in RF antenna that allows for linking with the DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit. When paired with the DJI Focus Pro Grip, the grip can power the motor via the USB-C port without any extra battery options needed.
The motor can be powered through third-party devices, but do not use an extra device to power the DJI Focus Pro Motor when it is already powered (e.g., by the DJI Focus Pro Grip), as this may cause device damage.
