Sound is very important in any production and you want to get the best possible recording on location.
In-camera audio is not always the best option with every camera - usually due to poor quality pre-amps which have too much noise, a lack of usable manual controls or no professional XLR audio connections.
We recommend external recording into an audio recorder with a solid state memory card. This offers a secondary recording in case of a camera issue, especially for DSLR shooting, where the quality of the built-in camera mic is not great.
