Baby plates allow for the quick mounting of fixtures in places where light stands and clamps cannot be used. Ideal for setting up lights in a tight space when normal lighting stands are just too big. This plate gives you the option of mounting it by using screws or nails through any of the 8 anchor points pre-drilled into the plate. Attached to a wood or metal base, they make great free-standing floor mounts, also known as "pigeon" plates, or can be positioned almost anywhere when clamped between the discs of a grip head.
