With the recent addition of the Aputure Lantern softbox, we decided to create a purpose built boom kit for this unique light diffuser.
This kit combined the lantern with an Aputure C300d mk II LED COB lamp and a c-stand and boom arm to support it
The Aputure Lantern is a china-ball style lighting modifier. It has a 4‐section fully adjustable light control skirt for adjusting spill. By using velcro, the removable skirts can attach in any position, to quickly and precisely control your soft light. You can roll the skirt up or down to flag off unwanted light and avoid needing extra flags or modifiers. The lantern provides 1 stop of diffusion so you still get a lot of light.
The Aputure Lantern itself attaches via a Bowens mount to the Aputure COB 120d or 300d fixtures, and is compatible with v1 or v2 of either light. as well as other Bownes S-mount light fittings.
The new and improved 300d Mark II is 20% brighter, more durable, more portable, and more intelligent than the original 300d LED. Change the way you light using the Sidius Link Bluetooth and Wifi app gives you more control and the built-in FX features are hopefully more useful then just a gimmick. And as always, the 5500K‐balanced 300d Mark II maintains impeccable color fidelity with CRI and TLCI ratings of 96+ and 97+ respectively.
