Bridgwater Carnival Jubilation cart at Queens Jubiilee parade

We want to offer up a massive congratulations to our friends at Bridgwater Carnival, who created a stunning 100ft long carnival cart to take part in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant on the 5th June 2022.

The 100ft long carnival cart and 132 carnivalites performed in front of the thousands of spectators who had lined the 3km pageant route, stretching from Westminster to The Mall and Buckingham Palace. The cart was also watched by an estimated one billion people across multiple platform from both the UK and from all around the world.

Mike Crocker, Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival President, and Jubilation cast member, said: “What an absolutely amazing experience it was! The atmosphere, adulation and the reception we received all the way around the route completely exceeded all of our expectations, and it was certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity which none of us will ever forget".
”The cart and the cast looked absolutely stunning, and I would like to thank the carnivalites who have been involved with the prestigious project. It was such a proud moment for us all, and it was great to be given an opportunity to show the world just how special Bridgwater Carnival and the other Somerset carnivals are.”

Jubilation 2022

The amazing cart will feature in this years Bridgwater Carnival parade on Satuday 5th November so people attending the carnival (or one of the 6 towns on the carnival circuit) will have a chance to see it in action.
This means that the cart will also feature on the Bridgwater Carnival livestream, which will once agin be provided by the team here at Maniac Films
