Visualise event 18th March 2008, Watershed, Bristol. Presentation videos added.

Visualise is a two year collaborative project funded by the Technology Strategy Board. The aim is to provide an enhanced experience for spectators at major sporting events through wireless area access to a rich range of media via handheld devices.

With presentations from Philip Hargrave, the recently appointed CEO of the Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network and Visualise members who will provide a unique insight into the technical challenges and innovative solutions developed within the Visualise project.

Come and learn about the latest wireless and video technologies, and see how these were used to enhance the spectator experience at the 2007 World Rally Championship. Try out the interactive Visualise interface on the latest mobile devices. Explore hands-on demonstrations that show access to results and timing data, the viewing of interactive video feeds and the use of interactive GPS competitor tracking.

Visualise partners include 3C Research, BT, Inmarsat, International Sportsworld Communicators, Maniac Films, ProVision Communication Technologies, Turner Broadcasting, Util4, U4EA and the University of Bristol's Centre for Communications Research.

This event, delivered in association with 3C Research

The event will conclude with an opportunity for you to view university displays of other collaborative projects. A buffet supper will be served and there will be ample time to network with colleagues from industry and academia.
