This film is a unique and well documented insight into the surfers, surfboards and shapers that have roamed the North Devon coast over the last 50 years. What makes this film extra special is that it was made with a great deal of support from the likes of Tiki, Extreme boardshots, Barnstaple museum etc and is the product of a collaboration between Maniac films and Braunton Community college...that's what i call community spirit. It features some great footage in and out of the water. Think groms interviewing their local heroes and some outstanding surfing from old and young, longboarders and short! All the big local names are here: Cotty, Skelly Skelton, Ralph Freeman, Kathleen Spears, Lyndon Wake, Stuart Campbell, Ester Spears to name but a few. There's footage from Croyde, Woolacombe, the point, Oysters and we get welcomed into the shaping bay at Gulf Stream. This film highlights the great surfing community we have here in Britain and is a celebration of surfing in Devon.

Great to see lots of local faces on the DVD. would have liked to see more interviews with some of the really old guys, but the surfings great for this area and the music is cool. Fantastic artwork from the kids too.
